Perennial Isolation, one of the most relevant bands from current Spanish Black Metal scene, have surprised us once again with their second full-length studio album, "Astral Dream", an amazing initiation journey through the edge between Life and Death with which they’ve gave an incredible step further in their career with a selection of much more complex and thorough songs, a mature sound, more atmospheric, absolutely pounding and thrilling... an album that place Perennial Isolation, without doubt, among the greatest bands in the genre...

For this time Perennial Isolation entered Axtudio (Asgaroth, Ered, Obsidian Kingdom...) from Barcelona in order to work with the well-known sound engineer Mr. Ax, and the result is simply amazing, with a pure, clean and crystalline sound that gives to the atmospheric black metal of the trio a depth that has never had before...

"Astral Dream" has been released by Darwoods in a wonderful triple edition, a regular one on jewelcase, a special one on exclusive 3-panel oversized deluxe digifile limited to 75 copies, and the collector’s edition on a 10” sized black cardboard box with many extras limited to 25 hand-numbered copies, all of them by the work and grace of our reference designer, el dios perezoso (Foscor, Xerión, Numen...), a true masterpiece that nobody should miss...

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

On ne frappe pas un homme à terre : c'est ce que dit la règle mais NONE a déjà prouvé qu'il ne les suivait pas et si son album éponyme retirait toute perspective de béatitude spirituelle, Life has gone on long enough, son deuxième opus, nous interdit l'accès au bonheur terrestre. La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine. Les cris partent en fumées : ne restent que les pleurs... Jordan Vauvert
